History of North Kitsap Schools Foundation
January 2003 - Received non-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt status as a public foundation from the Internal Revenue Service.
November 2004 - Awarded first classroom grants.
July 2005 - First North Kitsap Alumni Scholarship Golf Tournament that raises fund for graduate scholarships.
Today - NKSF has directed over $111,000 in scholarships to graduates, $25,000 in classroom grants to teachers for innovative and creative learning projects, $7,800 in full-day kindergarten tuition assistance, and over $7,600 to special program and student assistance funds.
